Longer days. Birdsong. Growing Grass.
These are all indicators that it's time to pull out the lawn mower and get it ready for another season.
It has been sitting in the back of the garage or shed all winter - maybe even under a pile of rags — collecting dust and moisture. There is probably some rust on the metal parts and caked debris underneath.
Of course, all we think we need to do is just top it off with gas and crank it up. We're ready to attack the jungle of grass blades.

This fruit is often prepared as a dessert, in fruit salads. In Asia, fresh guava slices are often dipped in preserved prune powder or salt. In India it is often sprinkled with red rock salt, which is very tart.

If the fruit set on your cherry trees was a bust last year, the reason may be inadequate cross-pollination. Here's a little background so you can make big plans for the coming year.
There are two main types of cherries: sour and sweet.
Tart cherries are self-fruitful, which means you only need one kind of tree to set a good crop. But sweet cherries aren't so sweet natured in temperament.

This gilding metal bangle provides a solution to the problem of what to do with the crushed ends of wire that have been gripped in the vise during twisting. In this project, the loose ends are eliminated by joining them in a long loop to be twisted between two steel rods. The necessary force can therefore be applied without damage to the round wire.
File both ends of the gilding metal wire flat using the hole in the bench peg. Form the wire into a double loop and bind with wire temporarily. This will make it easier to line up the ends for soldering Use hard solder to join up the ends of the wire.
